Is Hamlet a Threat??

I think that Claudius thinks Hamlet is a threat but only a threat to the throne. I do not think that he realizes Hamlet's intentions of getting his father's revenge. I believe that Claudius thinks he is a threat because in Act 2, Scene 2, he freaks out over why Hamlet has gone mad but does not seem to care at all about Norway wanting to make a pathway through his land to Poland. All he wants to hear about is why Hamlet has gone mad. Claudius only thinks of himself and what is best for him, and right now, his throne is the most important thing to him and so he wants to make sure that Hamlet does not take that from him. I do not believe that he knows that the throne is not the only thing Hamlet wants to take from him...
